Arm and Hammer baking soda. The directions for heartburn are on the side of the box. You will find it either in your refrigerator or wherever you keep your baking supplies like baking powder. If the heartburn continues more than a couple of days, you need to see the doctor.

1/2 teaspoon of baking soda in a half glass of water. Really, I just looked it up like 2 hours ago, because my stomach was upset. You can do it 7 times in 24 hours if you need to.

A little bit of baking soda in some water can neutralize stomach acid – it does contain quite a bit of sodium.

Prilosec and Zantac both work really well. Tums, Rolaids or Mylanta also work pretty well.

I know of a few people who swear by taking a shot of vinegar. Tastes nasty but works immediatly.
