does anyone know any home remedies for a kitten with heart-worms?

my brother’s 2 year-old has a kitten with heart-worms and I want to help
Has a kitten with heart worms? How old is this kitten? It’s pretty unusual for a cat to ahve heartworms (although it does happen) and almost unheard of for a kitten. If the kitten is under 6 months old it’s almost impossible for it to have heartworms. Are you sure the kitten doesn’t have some other type of worms (intestinal parasites) such as tapeworms or roundworms, which are much more common in kittens.
I’m so sorry to hear that the kitty has heartworms.
Unfortunately, there is no approved treatment for heartworms in cats.
Although their immune systems are more likely to overcome it on their own than dogs.

Heartworms are a double edged sword in cats. They are less likely to get them and fight them off but when they do get them, their hearts don’t handle it as well and is more likely to be fatal than dogs. I wish I know of any kind of remedy, but there isn’t one other than surgery, which may or may not be an option in this case.

Take it to the vet…I do not think there are any home remedies . The kitten will die if you don’t

The cat needs to be taken to the vet. There are no known home remedies for heartworms. The cat HAS to go to the vet. Vet’s have the proper medicine and care for getting rid of heartworms.
