How do you cure costant heart burn.?

Posted by admin on Nov 10, 2009

I have copd and get heart burn very often

You should be on a PPI (Proton pump inhibitor). A popular choice is omeprazole. You can additionally take an H2 blocker (cimetidine), although there are some side effects associated with this medication (gynecomastia). Antacids may help after meals, but you should be on long-acting medication inbetween meals. You primary care doctor should be able to prescribe you the medication you need.

Depends on the cause. Symptoms can be controlled with over-the-counter medicines like Tums and Pepto Bismol. Prescription medicines like histamine blockers will do the job also. If the pain is due to ulcers, antibiotics can kill the causative Helicobacter pylori bacteria. If you have gastroesophageal reflux disease, you might require laproscopic surgery.

I would see your general physician if its really bad to make sure its not a sign of something else or a symptom, but usually there are over the counter things at the drugstore u can take , depending on how bad it is , try eating alot of fruits and veggies and not to load up on beer or spicy foods dont eat fast and rethink your diet , LOTS OF WATER

Constant heartburn could be serious. You could have GERD….. Esophageal lesions are something you do not want.

If I were you I would go to a doctor so they can examine you… If they say it’s nothing just get Prilosec OTC. Make sure you take the full two week course of pills…

I introduced myself to smoking when I was 14 years old. It was the biggest wrong move I’ve made. Now 20 years later I have found quitting is literally impossible. I attmpted all of the stop smoking tools but not one worked for me. Then I found the e cig. The e cigarettes uses a nicotine fluid that holds simply nicotine. No toxic substances at all. They have luckily saved my life. No longer sucking in toxic substances feels awesome!
