I am told that garlic is good for the blood, but will effect my blood pressure or cause me more pain or risk for heart trouble ??

You should have no problems taking a garlic supplement whilst taking medication for high blood pressure, just as long as you’re not on any blood thinning medication (aspirin, warfarin, plavix etc). Garlic is good for the heart in that it has been shown to help cholesterol levels and thin the blood which protects against heart attack, but it has little effect on blood pressure.
