Posted by admin on Oct 22, 2009
i was singing it @ my locker and some poser chick told me they were wrong.
stupid poser!-.-
-stab-
away, are these right?;:
I remember that time
All through the night
Trying not to close my eyes
Again
Pretending that all he got was
In a stolen car
Trying not to pull over
And cry
My eyes so red
I just want to die
Kill me with your words
Kill me one last time
Cut out my heart
And throw it on the floor
For everyone to see
Remember you said
"Kiss me sweetheart
Before you go again."
Remember you said
"Kiss me sweetheart
Before you go again."
Don’t say
It’s over
This time
Don’t say
It’s over
This time
She’s waiting on the inside
For me to call again
Waiting for her
Just to say goodbye
One last time
Waiting on the inside
I’m supposed to say
Anything at all
To make you want me back
If I had three wishes
I waste them all on you
I wish you away
From meeeee
Supposed to say
Anything at all
She’s waiting on the inside
For me to call again
Waiting for her
Just to say goodbye

hawthorne heights sings a song called ohio is for lovers. what does it mean if your heart is in ohio?
Posted by admin on Oct 20, 2009
the band is called hawthorne heights. and in the lyrics, it says my heart is in ohio, and ive seen other things say that, so what does it mean if your heart is in ohio?
Hawthorne Heights is originally from Dayton, Ohio. (only 1 hour from me!!!) So, when they say that, they’re basically saying We’re originally from Ohio. We belong there. or We first loved somebody from there.

the scarlet letter vs the tell-tale heart?
Posted by admin on Oct 12, 2009
after reading the short story "the tell-tale heart" by Edgar Allan Poe, and "The Scarlet Letter" by Nathanial Hawthorne, our teacher gave us 3 questions to answer
1)Why do you think you were assigned to read this sotry? (hint- draw analogies to the scarlet letter)
2) Who does the narrator of the story mist likely represent from "The Scarlet Letter?
3) Why would this short story, like "the scarlet letter", appeal to modern audiences?
even if you just know one question, please help!! thank so much
1) to torture juniors…JK=]
if you mean assigned to read The Tell-Tale Heart…
– it seems to have no connection to present day, right? Actually, it does there have been psychopaths all through history =] , murder has been seen throughout the generations , and not to mention the fact that our conscience is generally the one thing that urges us to do the right thing — I’m not sure if this is what you’re looking for or not, but it’s always worth a try
2) I’m not sure what you mean, sorry, I’m going to skip it
3) I would think that people can relate to them today, not exactly literally, but…how to explain?…okay…in the Tell-Tale Heart, his conscience beats like the heart under the floorboards; people do things all the time that after they have done it they become paranoid that someone will find out until they finally confess it themselves
– for the Scarlet Letter: everyone sins, everyone does something wrong, everyone makes mistakes, everyone pays for their mistakes in a way, they deal with their past
– something more literal =] : in the Scarlet Letter, Pearl grows

How long for Hawthorn berry effects on the heart?
Posted by admin on Sep 18, 2009
Hi,
I’ve recently started taken Hawthorn berry capsules because my heart rate has always been a little high (I see my physician regularly and there is no problem, it just seems to be my nature.) I get about a half-hour of moderate exercise a day plus my usual routine, which I would not describe as sedentary but not exactly athletic either.
My blood pressure is fine.
For anyone taking Hawthorne, how long does it take to start seeing a positive effect? Are there immediate effects?
Any information would be helpful. Thanks.
It can depend…sometimes it will be a few weeks to a few months before you notice very much improvement, sometimes it could be up to 6 months. Usually it takes 6 months to a year to have significant improvement, Hawthorn is more of a long term herb, but it can have amazing benefits. ![]()
And you might also notice improved stamina once you’ve been taking it for a while.
Oh, and for more information, check out some books like The Way of Herbs by Michael Tierra, or Family Herbal by Rosemary Gladstar.
Good luck!
P.S. If you can, its better to use Hawthorn as a decoction (which is like a tea, but stronger) rather than capsules because sometimes your body’s digestion won’t break the capsules down appropriately, and then you might not absorb whats inside them as well.

Research on the Hawthorne Berry
Posted by admin on Sep 9, 2009
Ever since the early 1900’s, and even continuing today, there have been clinical trials and research done in regard to the medicinal value of Hawthorne Berry extract. Unfortunately, science has only partially evaluated the benefits of this herb on human health though. Nevertheless, it is still believed that the antioxidants, flavanoids and other compounds that are found in the Hawthorne Berry give this herb its beneficial effects. For this reason, it is sometimes added to heart herbal remedies in order to help reduce a person’s blood pressure and correct any potentially unhealthy cholesterol levels. Recently most of the studies about Hawthorne Berry extract are concerned with the medicinal value of this extract in regard to its affect upon a person’s liver, digestive system and cardiovascular system. Many of these studies are also looking at Hawthorne Berry as an anti-inflammatory agent. The many studies that have been completed thus far have not looked at the use of Hawthorne Berry tea so much as they have looked at the usage of the concentrated extract itself. While there are some health care professionals who have recognized the medicinal value of Hawthorne Berry extract for more than 100 years now, research on this extract is still considered to be only preliminary. This is because the majority of this type of research is funded by pharmaceutical companies and they are unable to patent a naturally occurring substance. For this reason, any of the natural remedies that contain Hawthorne Berry or other such herbs are of little interest to them. The Hawthorne Berry There is a good reason why Hawthorne Berries are used as heart disease herbs. Not only can they help to regulate your blood pressure but they can also break down cholesterol and fat, both of which contribute to heart disease. They also help dilate coronary blood vessels so that your body is able to utilize oxygen, blood and nutrients more efficiently throughout your entire body. Bioflavonoids Hawthorne Berry is loaded with bioflavanoids, which are potent antioxidants. In fact, there are a lot of people who believe that they are actually a lot more potent than Vitamins A, C or E. It is these bioflavanoids that help your heart muscle be able to pump blood more efficiently. Whenever you have healthy arteries you will also have more endurance, good blood pressure and healthy blood vessels. This is the reason why this natural heart medicine is actually best used as a preventative medicine but it can also be used to treat heart disease too. Hawthorne for Congestive Heart Failure More than any other heart condition, congestive heart failure has been studied in regard to this herbs extract. For this condition it is recommended that you take between 160 and 900mg of the liquid extract daily or between 120 and 240mg in tablet form three times each day. It may take up to six weeks for you to notice the effects taking place. Hawthorne for Your Vascular System The vascular system is also important whenever it comes to supporting your heart. It has been shown that Hawthorne Berry will reduce calcification of your vascular system. As such, this heart extract will stop the arteries that lead to your heart from hardening or narrowing. You also won’t develop any blot clots, which can lead to strokes and heart attacks. Hawthorne Supplements Hawthorne Berry tea is often used for natural heart health even today. It can be made from the berries, the berry leaves or even the flowers of this herb. This tea is packaged and sold at most health food stores throughout the world. You can also get this alternative medicine for the heart in capsules or as a tincture. However, most of the herbalists who recommend this natural heart treatment actually prefer using the tea. Conclusion Hawthorne berries are thought to be one of the safest herbal heart supplements on the market today. As with any other medication, Hawthorne berries do have some side effects that occur on rare occasions. These include headaches, nausea and rapid heartbeat. It is also important to understand that there are a few possible drug interactions too. Therefore, if you are taking any prescription medications, you should contact your doctor before taking this Heart Supplement. Nevertheless, Hawthorne berries are considered to be safe for long-term usage.
