Can I use garlic to deworm my cat of tapeworms?

Posted by admin on Oct 22, 2009

One month ago I used a dewomer for dogs to deworm my cats.It did actually work, the worms came out in their stool, but they’re back.I had to use the stuff for dogs because in my city pet supply retailers cannot not sell the cat stuff.Only vets can and I cant afford the $200 my vet wants for me to bring them in. I have actually found a guy who owns a rescue clinic who can sell me cat dewormer but he doesnt get any in until wednesday! It’s friday and my poor babies are already locked in the basement and it’s breaking my heart.I heard that a couple of pieces of garlic a day will kill all the worms. Will it? Is this gonna keep them away and should I still use the medicine ?

I have never heard of this working! As far as I know garlic is only good for repeling fleas!

Can taking too many vitamins be bad for you?

Posted by admin on Oct 20, 2009

I take:
Hair, Skin & Nail for Women
Super B Complex
Vitamin C – for Immune System
Folic Acid – for Metabolism
Cranberry Extract – for Urinary Tract
Garlic Extract – Heart Health

Is that too much?

Too much of anything, even a good thing, is bad. Consult your doctor, or call your local pharmacist. They will tell you what you should and should not be mixing and taking together or offer a better solution too take instead of all those pills!!

can i take garlic when i take blood pressure tablets ?

Posted by admin on Oct 16, 2009

I am told that garlic is good for the blood, but will effect my blood pressure or cause me more pain or risk for heart trouble ??

You should have no problems taking a garlic supplement whilst taking medication for high blood pressure, just as long as you’re not on any blood thinning medication (aspirin, warfarin, plavix etc). Garlic is good for the heart in that it has been shown to help cholesterol levels and thin the blood which protects against heart attack, but it has little effect on blood pressure.

How much garlic to be taken for the heart?

Posted by admin on Oct 14, 2009

Garlic is an anti viral and anti bacterial agent with a high sulphur content. They are good for high blood pressure and believe to lower the cholesterol levels (this property is controversial). It can be taken directly or mixed with milk. Many of the volatile compounds are lost through cooking. 2- 3 cloves every day will be good.

What are the advantages of Garlic and Ginger ?

Posted by admin on Oct 12, 2009

I am being told that if I take one cup of garlic , lemon and ginger juice , blend it and mix it up with one cup of honey and Apple Cyder , it would be a good Elixir for heart ? Any Comments

Every week I eat an entire head of garlic (crushed) mixed with a big chunk of fresh ginger (grated) and i add a little bit of oregano oil… I swear by this mixture; it;s very good for your digestive system, heart, and it’s a good detox.

make sure you add enough ginger to counteract the pungancy of garlic (i don;t smell of it ONE bit, i swear) and "drink" it with herbal or green tea.. I NEVER CHEW because it tastes awful.. one teaspoonful of the mixture followed by an immmediate gulp of tea.

TRY IT!!

EDIT: the addition of lemon and honey is great but I don’;t know about the apple cider. apples are good for your heart, but not apple cider or juice, trust me.

does anyone have the recipe for spinach and cheese dip with artichoke hearts and shallots, garlic and cheeses?

Posted by admin on Oct 10, 2009

i had this in the States at a restaurant called "cheesecake factory" and it was Absolutely to die for! served warm with tortilla chips and salsa and creme Fraiche…want to make it at home

The "Cheesecake Factory" does indeed have fabulous food, but you can make this easily at home as well. Here’s a basic Spinach and Artichoke Dip, that you can easily turn into the one that you had before. Just add the Shallots (small dice, (same amount as the garlic), suggest to saute them with the garlic in a touch a butter first) and I personally like to hand crush my artichokes as apposed to pulsing them, it makes it chunkier that way, but you can put them into the Food Processor, if you like that consistency better. I make this basic recipe at work every week for our dip, but I love the Shallots in this. I also love baked tortilla chips, they are thicker and hold the weight of the dip better and are less expensive than buying the bagged kind, plus you can season them as you like when baking them. Anyways, I hope this recipe helps you out, if you can’t find the Authentic "Cheesecake Factory" Dip.

Hot Artichoke Spinach Dip

INGREDIENTS
1 (14 ounce) can artichoke hearts, drained
1/3 cup grated Romano cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
1/3 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a blender or food processor, place artichoke hearts, Romano cheese, Parmesan cheese and garlic . Pulse until chopped, but not ground. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, mix together spinach, heavy cream, sour cream and mozzarella cheese. Stir in artichoke mixture. Spoon into prepared baking dish.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.

What is the best natural cure once you have an onset clogging in your heart arteries?

Posted by admin on Oct 10, 2009

I would like to share my exceptionally dire situation in the whole planet. I am steadfast that there’s something wrong happening in my heart’s artery system. WHY? i have chest pains, shortness of breath, confused. I am relatively well informed re heart diseases and I don’t wanna listen to advice like "go see a doctor!" because I’d taken three sojourned with different physicians and all prognosis & tests e.g. 2d echo & ekg came nil of a problem. The last physician advised me for stress test which i deliberately defied cause i know that there is indeed something wrong with me. I wouldn’t be feeling all of these if i’m in tip top condition! That’s why it made me deduced that these happenings are merely outlandished. Just recently, im suffering a tinitus? Btw, does the latter beckons any relativity with heart problems? Well guys, i need advice on the natural way to declog my arteries e.g. eat gloves of garlic, exercise, change lifestyle…& what other very very natural & essential tips?

What are the health benefits of consuming garlic?

Posted by admin on Oct 8, 2009

You know what- hey guess what. The ancient Egyptian slaves sucked on garlic. It’s true!!! It’s true!!!!!!!!!!!!! That way, they could build the pyramids way faster. he he he. (Imagine the slaves putting the pyramids together in fast motion, like in the Benny Hill comedy sketches where everyone runs in fast motion).

Seriously, I have been taking odor-free garlic pills every nite. I have heard rumors that garlic does a lot of good things for ones health. It’s also good for warding off vampires.

I have heard that garlic is an antioxidant, that it lowers blood pressure (something I need), that it increases heart health, etc. Is this true?

Yes, Garlic Complex helps retain normal blood pressure. Studies show that garlic promotes cardiovascular health by helping to retain normal blood pressure and cholesterol level when used as part of a low-fat, low-cholesterol diet. It’s a natural antibiotic/anti-inflammatory. Has a positive effect on infection, aids in treatment of cancer, arthritis, flu, colds, digestive problems, ulcers, yeast infections, and sinusitis.

The Garlic Complex I take also provides the antioxidant properties of spearmint and rosemary.

Hope this is useful and for questions or the website, feel free to contact me.

How are Banannas, garlic, tomatoes, natural yoghert, olives, letticue, celery, potatoes good for?

I mean, when you eat them what do they do for your body?

Eg, garlic is good for the heart, tomatoes help prevent cancer etc

Bananas contain large amounts of potassium which is a electrolyte and is good for your muscles health. Garlic has antioxidants. Yogurt has live cultures in it that helps with digestion. Potato’s contain carbs that energizes you.
