The Benefits of Aged Galric
Posted by admin on Aug 29, 2009
There have been numerous scientific studies done that have shown that garlic is an effective heart disease herb. These studies have also shown that those cultures wherein people eat a lot of garlic, there are a lot less heart attacks.
Garlic’s Critical Compounds
Sulfur substances are the key to the majority of garlic’s benefits. These substances include S-allyl cysteine, which is water-soluble, stable and bioavailable. Small amounts of it can be found in garlic but even larger amounts of it can be found in aged garlic. In fact, the majority of the studies that have been done have actually looked at the medicinal benefits of this aged heart extract because it is stable, has a wide range of health effects and an abundance of antioxidants.
Garlic as a Heart Disease Herb
Garlic is able to help people who have high cholesterol levels lower their LDL cholesterol (lipoprotein cholesterol, also known as “bad” cholesterol) and increase their HDL cholesterol (high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, also known as “good” cholesterol). This is because of the phytochemicals that are found in garlic, which work in the same way that cholesterol-lowering medications work. However, unlike these medications, this heart herb doesn’t have any significant side effects. Therefore this heart alternative is much safer to use.
Studies have shown that this heart extract can actually lower your cholesterol by around 10%. However, you would have to eat around 24 cloves of garlic each day in order to achieve this desirable effect. This shouldn’t discourage you from eating garlic though since it has a lot of additional benefits. For instance this heart herb can improve your HDL to LDL ratio which is an important factor in lowering your risk of developing heart disease. Garlic also acts as an antioxidant, which will also help to prevent heart disease by preventing the oxidation of cholesterol and keeping your arteries healthy.
There are also studies available that show that garlic works better than aspirin as a blood thinner. Of course, doctors widely recommend taking aspirin because its anti-clotting effect can prevent you from having a heart attack. However, garlic is a great heart alternative that is just as effective without having the dangerous side effects. So, anyone who is taking aspirin should consider using this Heart Supplement instead. Not only will this herb extract give you the heart protection that you are looking for but there are also numerous health benefits that you will reap from taking this heart health herb too.
Aged Garlic for Your Heart
The ability of this herb for the heart to protect you against cardiovascular disease is mainly because it is an antioxidant that can lower lipids and also has an anticoagulant effect. In fact, a study was done in April 2003 at the University of California; Los Angeles showed that aged garlic extract (also known as kyolic garlic) can reduce a cardiac patient’s risk of heart attack by 50%. This is because aged garlic extract is able to reduce plaque buildup in a person’s arteries by more than 50% while also lowering LDL and triglycerides and increasing HDL. It was also able to reduce blood homocysteine, which is a factor for cardiovascular disease. As such, doctors now know that cardiac patients who are taking statins can reduce their risk of having a heart attack even further by adding this herb for the heart to their diet.
Studies on Garlic’s Effect on Cholesterol
Anyone who is dealing with high cholesterol should know that this heart herbal can lower their cholesterol by up to 20%. For this reason, garlic is actually a licensed medication in Germany that is used to help people who have hardened or blocked arteries. This natural heart medicine does work best in conjunction with a low fat diet though.
Conclusion
This herb for the heart is great for lowering cholesterol and helping people who have heart disease, especially whenever the garlic has been aged. For this reason this herb for heart disease should be a part of a person’s diet if they need any added protection against heart disease. It will definitely help in aiding off any potential risk of having a heart attack, which is especially important if your heart has already been significantly weakened.

Best wine to go with Parmesan shrimp over linguine with Italian dressing and garlic?
Posted by admin on Nov 12, 2009
I got this recipe from another users question and think it sounds pretty good, but I need to know what wine to serve with it. My date preferres a very "wet" (meaning sweet) wine. I am lost like last years Easter eggs on this one. so what wine will suit her and compliment the artichoke hearts and tomatoes and shrimp in the main course?
she didn’t reguest wine and I am partial to sweet Tea…leaning toward the Chianti
Hey, I know this recipe…LOL…Not much for wine…if she specifically asked for wine then try something white and if not, then make iced tea to hit that sweet spot…Since you have Italian dressing in the main course be sure to offer a creme dressing for the salad and add cheese and maybe bruchetta to the garlic bread. Top off with a cheesecake and you’re set. You can always have a nice Chianti after dinner…
Should Evan in Twilight be force fed garlic and have his heart pierced with a wooden stake?
Posted by admin on Nov 10, 2009
Part of the fun of enjoying a vampire story is that they go around attacking innocent girls. Stupid Evan falls in love. How lame is that? He is like a gay vampire. This English vampire needs to be put away. Get a wooden stake made of oak and split his heart in two. Then get some whole garlic and press it and make Evan eat it raw.
Edward? Evan? It shows the level of my devotion. That dumbazz needs to be destroyed. Does anyone have a wooden stake?
I wish someone would pierce my heart with a wooden stake If I had to sit through Twilight.
what are some of the fruits and vegtables that help with blood circulation and heart?

I have been using Cayanne pepper, but it gives me skin rash, and also Garlic, but garlic drops my blood pressure too low(I have low blood pressure to begin with)…and ginger upsets my stomach… so what can I use other then these 3 that I have already tried?
There aren’t many herbs (specifically plants) that help with circulation, but there are several nutrients. The biggest thing is that most of the fruits and vegetables can help indirectly because they have vitamins/minerals that are good for overall health, and when you’re healthier, that will include circulation… but not as much as certain nutrients that directly benefit circulation.
Some of the most effective and popular herbs for circulation are Hawthorn, Butcher’s Broom, Horse Chestnut, Ginkgo Biloba (for circulation to the brain, mostly), Gotu Kola, and of course Cayenne and Garlic (which you’ve already tried). The other main nutrients are Niacin (B-3), Fish Oil, Hesperidin, L-Arginine, and L-Ornithine. Good luck!
Will you accept the Flying Spaghetti Monster into your heart?

If you do when you die you will go to a planet full of endless plates of spaghetti and meatballs. You will live in grand palaces built out of garlic bread and have thousands of noodley servants. If not, you will burn eternally in a giant pot of boiling tomato sauce!!!!
I heard that when Darwin was on his deathbed he accepted the pastafarian belief. So i do believe as well.
What is garlic used for as a natural supplement?

they say it’s good for you heart is this true?
Garlic lowers blood pressure, helps being an anti fungal (yeast/Candida) and helps insulin do its job (put food in cells). That is all a good thing if you are a diabetic, however, if you have high insulin production, it may help you gain weight – if you overdo.
is it good to give dogs garlic pills ???
Posted by admin on Oct 30, 2009
i heard that if you give your dog garlic pills every other day that it keeps fleas away ,makes their coat shiney, and makes their heart stronger. has anyone ever tried this?
I give my dobie the Brewers Yeast/Garlic tablets daily. She is constantly outside and getting into water or mud, so she gets plenty of baths. The flea treatments you can get at the vet just weren’t working b/c she got wet all the time. I started using the garlic almost 2 years ago and haven’t seen a flea on her since, and we go camping and hiking throughout the year. She’s never bothered by mosquitoes, fleas, or ticks.

Can I use garlic to deworm my cat of tapeworms?
Posted by admin on Oct 22, 2009
One month ago I used a dewomer for dogs to deworm my cats.It did actually work, the worms came out in their stool, but they’re back.I had to use the stuff for dogs because in my city pet supply retailers cannot not sell the cat stuff.Only vets can and I cant afford the $200 my vet wants for me to bring them in. I have actually found a guy who owns a rescue clinic who can sell me cat dewormer but he doesnt get any in until wednesday! It’s friday and my poor babies are already locked in the basement and it’s breaking my heart.I heard that a couple of pieces of garlic a day will kill all the worms. Will it? Is this gonna keep them away and should I still use the medicine ?
I have never heard of this working! As far as I know garlic is only good for repeling fleas!
