How do people get cure from Heart Attack ?

Posted by admin on Aug 17, 2009

I’m just asking this question is because my project about this on infectious disease is due tomorrow so I need informations about it and also what kind of medicine that can cure people from it.

A heart attack, formally called a Myocardial Infarction, is the result of a blockage of blood flow (O2) in one of the coronary arteries to the myocardium (heart muscle) . This results initially in ischemia (recoverable, mild pain and shortness of breath ), progresses to injury (still recoverable, pain and definite symptoms of a heart attack) and finally into necrosis (actual death of the myocardial tissue, this is completely non-reversible!!!)….The tissue dies, No re-growth, recovery at all. There are possible interventions to decrease the damage (such as aspirin), but there is nothing at all that can be done once the acute Myocardial Infarction has resulted in necrosis….

Hope this helps!!!!!!

Herbal remedies for PSVT (fast heart rate & palpatations)?

Posted by admin on Aug 16, 2009

My mother was diagnosed with PSVT which involves an extremely fast sudden heart rate along with palpatations. Generally beta blockers are used to treat this, but due to complications she is unable to take them. The cardiologist is having a hard time finding something that will work for her. So I was wondering if there are any natural remedies out there (besides hawthorn & CoQ10, she is already on those) which might help rhythm problems of the heart?

Thanks

If she does not tolerate beta blockers, there are other good medicines which your doctor will tell you. If taking long term medicines is a problem there is always an option of radiofrequency catheter ablation for PSVT which is quite safe these days. An even safer cryoablation is also available in some centres. These options offer a cure and there is no need to take medicines after successful treatment.

Is it safe for me to take this supplement with a heart condition?

Posted by admin on Aug 15, 2009

Hi, I have been working out for four or so years. About six months ago I started experiencing arrhythmias and had them checked out. Turns out I have a heart condition by the name of ‘mitral valve prolapse’ where one of the valves in my heart doesn’t close properly.

I believe I agitated it during my time lifting by taking pre-workout supplements with a lot of caffeine (Like NO Explode: http://www.buildingbrawn.com/product_images/BSN/Labels/180020.jpg)

I was hoping I could start taking a preworkout supplement again, but was worried about the risks. If anyone familiar in the field would care to look at this and tell me if it seems safe, I will be obliged. http://www.punchsupplements.co.nz/hot_buttons/gaspari-super-pump.gif

Go ask your Cardiologist

Why would herbs that improve HEART blood circulation improve my sleep? but regular sleep formulas don’t!!!?

Posted by admin on Aug 6, 2009

This is so strange! I have sleeping problems.. I have tried so many herbal and pharmaceutical drugs for sleep none of which have worked without side effects that I could tolerate. On the herbal/supplement side, I have tried Chamomile, Valerian, Passion Hops, Melatonin just to name a few(I can’t think of all right now), and on the pharmaceutical side drugs like Rozerem, Lunecta, Valium, and….
Anyways, recently I have been trying a formula that has Cayenne pepper, Garlic bulb, and ginger (which is good for heart blood circulation) … and my sleep is getting better.. I even look healthier… I wanna sleep a good 6-7 hours at night, and take a 1 hour nap in the afternoon….. WHY IS THIS HAPPEINING??? what is heart and blood circulation have to do with my sleep???

Lamar’s Alarm has the right idea… the ones that you’re taking for circulation help to get oxygen to all your organs, which help your body work more efficiently.
It’s also very possible that your body wasn’t processing your Serotonin properly (which would explain why most of those supplements and drugs didn’t help, especially if some of them woke you up instead of helping you sleep). If that’s the case, the circulation aids could have made your system healthy enough where it started processing the Serotonin the right way, which could help you fall asleep properly.
It could also be any of several other possibilities, but most of those revolve around your body working better the way it’s supposed to and not being bogged down, which can impact your sleep.
Either way, you can be thankful that your body is starting to work right again, right? ;-)
